Teaching program in the Templeton Honors College at Eastern University. Bryan took the opportunity move on from Great Hearts Academies and since then has sometimes been accused of painting, playing the banjo, and throwing tomahawks.

Bryan currently works as a consultant in classical education and besides his work with RLA this year, he is also working with the Diocese of Fort Worth, Texas as they move their schools toward classical liberal arts practices in the Catholic tradition.

Kathryn and Bryan attend St. Philips Orthodox Church in Souderton. They have one child at home, Elizabeth, who is nine and attends Mainline Classical Academy in Bryn Mawr.

What is genuinely compelling to me is the presentation of the human condition in the great works of our tradition and the light of the Christian faith in which it all finds meaning. The pieces of the educational project I love most are tending the organic life of a single school, curricular planning, and pedagogical training.

My time in the classroom and as an administrator has impressed upon me the formative power of teachers and mentors in the lives of young people and their families as well as the central importance of a positive school culture. To this point, my strengths in leading schools have included recruiting and maintaining talented teachers and staff, as well as building strong relationships between school staff and families. I have been blessed over the years with a variety of enjoyable colleagues who have also labored in the field of classical and Christian education, and I have been successful at drawing talented people into more than one project and shepherding school communities to be highly performing and cohesive.
